Good Bye 2016!
Year 2016 has passed. Thanks for all your support in the passing year. In 2017, we wish you enjoy good health, profound wealth and world peace. This website has been set up for over a year and here is the review towards the market of canned food in 2016.
1. Because of the increased domestic market demand, after June 2016 there were not enough raw materials with proper price to produce Canned Pineapple and Canned Sweet Corn which were always out of stocks.
2. For Canned Tomato Paste, as one big factory was closed down whose stocks were sold in half price, we did not have any order in the first half year. Fortunately in the second half year the business was recovered.
3. The following chart is the price fluctuation of the main ports in the passing year.
A. From Jan to July, the price from each port was comperatively stable with only small fluctuation lead by freight.
B. After July, due to the depreciation of RMB, we brought down the price of some products.
C. In Novermber, on one hand the RMB was keeping depreciated, on the other hand the price of some raw materials went up crazily which were the obstacles to our proper quotation. Finally the latter was stronger.
The price of Speckled Kidney Beans had exceeded Red Kidney Beans for the first time.
D. In December, it was terms of price increasing for packing materials. The cost of cartons for example, had tripled and more. All the quotations were ending with high price.

In 2017, it is predicted that RMB will keep depreciating.
How would the price of raw materials go?
And would there be plenty of sweet corn and pineapple?
Fortunately it seems that the price of pineapple is going down a bit in the future.
May the market of Canned Tomato in African countries go more stable.
